You have been very kind and faithful to me. But I’m not worthy of any of this. When I crossed this Jordan River, all I had was my walking stick. But now I’ve become two camps.

I am not worthy of the least of all the deeds of steadfast love and all the faithfulness that you have shown to your servant, for with only my staff I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two camps.

You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service.Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners— of whom I am the worst.

But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.”

I have made a fool of myself, but you drove me to it. I ought to have been commended by you, for I am not in the least inferior to the“ super-apostles,” even though I am nothing.

I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us— yes, the many good things he has done for Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses.

In great fear and distress Jacob divided the people who were with him into two groups, and the flocks and herds and camels as well.

You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.

Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Harran.When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep.

Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other.

Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

You will be faithful to Jacob, and show love to Abraham, as you pledged on oath to our ancestors in days long ago.

In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,“ God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
