當憶爾上帝耶和華、因彼賜爾以力、俾得貨財、以踐所誓爾祖之約、有如今日、

昔我耳聞爾、今我目睹爾、故我自憾、在於灰塵、而自悔焉、○

我為愚矣、緣爾逼我、蓋我當為爾所舉、我雖不足數、而不亞於至大使徒、

耶和華矜恤我儕、及以色列家、恩惠豐隆、我將宣揚其仁慈、而頌美之、

亞伯拉罕曰、我雖為灰塵、敢告於主、

彼永居上帝前、祈以慈惠誠實、保佑之兮、

我曰、禍哉我也、亡矣、我乃脣穢之人、居於脣穢民中、而目睹大君、萬軍之耶和華也、

如是、爾盡行所命、亦當曰、我乃無益之僕、行所當行已耳、○

我必偕爾、無論何往、我必護爾、使歸斯土、不汝遐棄、吾所許者、必踐其言、

雅各大懼、且憂、以從者及牛羊駝、分為二隊、

我謂耶和華曰、爾乃我主、爾外我無福兮、

使之少遜於上帝、冠之以尊榮、

雅各離別是巴、向哈蘭而行、日既沒、至一方宿焉、取石為枕而臥、

慈惠與誠實相遇、公義與和平相親、

爾始雖微小、終必昌熾、

若言無罪則自欺、而真理不在我衷、若承我罪、彼乃信義、必赦我罪、潔我諸不義矣、若言我未干罪、則以彼為誑、其道不在我衷矣、

必依古昔與我列祖所誓之言、施誠實於雅各、行仁慈於亞伯拉罕、

幼宜服長、爾曹謙以自束、互相服役、蓋上帝拒驕泰者、賜恩卑遜者、

彼眾行邁、其力遞增、各覲上帝於郇兮、

義者之道、有若朝暉、愈升愈明、迨至中午、
