You know that I’ve worked hard for your father

你们也知道，我尽了我的力量服侍你们的父亲。

你们也知道，我尽了全力服事你们的父亲。

你们也知道，我尽了全力服事你们的父亲。

你们知道我是怎样尽心尽力地替你们父亲工作，

我尽了我的力量来服事你们的父亲，这是你们知道的；

你們知道我是怎樣盡心盡力地替你們父親工作，

我竭力事汝父、汝所知也、

我竭力事爾父、爾所素知。

我竭力服事爾父、為爾所知、

You know that I’ve worked for your father with all my strength,

You know that I’ve worked for your father with all my strength.

You know that I have served your father with all my strength,

You know how hard I have worked for your father,

You know that with all my strength I have served your father

You know that I have served your father with all my strength.

And you know that with all my might I have served your father.

And ye know that with all my power I have served your father.

And ye know that with all my power I have served your father.

You know that I’ve worked for your father as hard as I could,

You know that I have served your father with all of my strength.

So Jacob said to him,“ You know what I have done for you and your herds.

Household slaves, submit with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel.

I’ve been with you these 20 years. Your ewes and female goats have not miscarried, and I have not eaten the rams from your flock.I did not bring you any of the flock torn by wild beasts; I myself bore the loss. You demanded payment from me for what was stolen by day or by night.There I was— the heat consumed me by day and the frost by night, and sleep fled from my eyes.For 20 years I have worked in your household— 14 years for your two daughters and six years for your flocks— and you have changed my wages 10 times!If the God of my father, the God of Abraham, the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, certainly now you would have sent me off empty-handed. But God has seen my affliction and my hard work, and He issued His verdict last night.”

Slaves are to be submissive to their masters in everything, and to be well-pleasing, not talking backor stealing, but demonstrating utter faithfulness, so that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in everything.

Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ.Don’t work only while being watched, in order to please men, but as slaves of Christ, do God’s will from your heart.Serve with a good attitude, as to the Lord and not to men,knowing that whatever good each one does, slave or free, he will receive this back from the Lord.

Slaves, obey your human masters in everything. Don’t work only while being watched, in order to please men, but work wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord.Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men,knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.For the wrongdoer will be paid back for whatever wrong he has done, and there is no favoritism.
