耶和华与亚伯拉罕说完了话就走了；亚伯拉罕也回到自己的地方去了。

于是巴兰起来，回他本地去；巴勒也回去了。

巴勒对巴兰说：“你向我做的是什么事呢？我领你来咒诅我的仇敌，不料，你竟为他们祝福。”

土人看见那毒蛇悬在他手上，就彼此说：“这人必是个凶手，虽然从海里救上来，天理还不容他活着。”保罗竟把那毒蛇甩在火里，并没有受伤。

耶和华将话传给巴兰，又说：“你回到巴勒那里，要如此如此说。”

以撒叫了雅各来，给他祝福，并嘱咐他说：“你不要娶迦南的女子为妻。

拉班回答雅各说：“这女儿是我的女儿，这些孩子是我的孩子，这些羊群也是我的羊群；凡在你眼前的都是我的。我的女儿并她们所生的孩子，我今日能向他们做什么呢？

两个儿妇又放声而哭，俄珥巴与婆婆亲嘴而别，只是路得舍不得拿俄米。

人的忿怒要成全你的荣美；人的余怒，你要禁止。

神没有咒诅的，我焉能咒诅？耶和华没有怒骂的，我焉能怒骂？
