使吾祖亞伯拉罕之上帝、吾父以撒所畏之上帝、不祐我、汝必棄我、絕無所得、惟上帝監我操作辛勤、故前夕責爾。○

撒勑謂亞伯蘭曰、我之受辱、職爾之故、我昔以婢置於爾懷、既懷妊矣、乃藐視我、爾我間、願耶和華折中其是非。

約書亞告民曰、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、亙古爾祖亞伯拉罕及拿鶴之父他拉、居大河東、服事他上帝。

又曰、我乃爾祖之上帝、即亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、摩西蒙其面、不敢覲上帝。

拿鶴二十九歲、生他拉。其後歷一百一十九年、復生子女。他拉七十歲、生亞伯蘭、拿鶴、哈蘭。○他拉之裔如左。他拉生亞伯蘭、拿鶴、哈蘭、哈蘭生羅得。死於故土、即迦勒底之耳邑、其時父他拉尚在。亞伯蘭拿鶴咸娶室、亞伯蘭妻撒勑、拿鶴妻密迦、密迦暨以士迦、俱哈蘭之女。

指天地之上帝耶和華而誓、我居迦南、斯土之女、勿妻我子。必返故土、擇戚族中、為我子以撒娶焉。

當畏爾上帝耶和華而奉事之、指其名而發誓。

今當指上帝以誓、毋欺我及我子孫、以我所厚待爾者、爾亦如是待我、以及爾所旅斯土之民。亞伯拉罕曰、我誓之。

厥後人告亞伯拉罕云、密迦從爾兄拿鶴生子、伯曰戶斯、仲曰布斯、季曰基母利、基母利生亞蘭、密迦又生基泄、哈鎖、必達、益臘、彼土利、此八人者、皆密迦從亞伯拉罕兄拿鶴、所出。彼土利生女利百加。拿鶴妾名流馬生子提八、迦含、大轄、馬迦。

曰我儕知耶和華祐爾、竊思爾我間當立誓、互相結盟。昔我未嘗加害於爾、乃厚待爾、送爾安然以歸、如是汝亦莫薄待我。蓋耶和華錫嘏於爾故也。以撒遂肆筵以待、式飲式食。夙興相誓、以撒送之、安然而歸。

耶和華據其巔曰、我乃爾祖亞伯拉罕與以撒之上帝耶和華、爾所寢之地、悉以賚爾、爰及苗裔。

他拉挈其子亞伯蘭、及孫羅得、即哈蘭子、並其媳、即亞伯蘭妻撒勑、咸出迦勒底之耳邑、欲往迦南、至於哈蘭居焉。

亞伯蘭曰、吾指至高之上帝、天地之主、耶和華而誓、

我將與爾、及爾歷代苗裔、立我永約、為爾及爾裔之上帝、
