Laban said,“ This pile of stones is a witness between you and me today.” That’s why it was named Galeed.

拉班曰、爾我間以此崗為憑、故亦名曰迦列。

Laban said,“ This heap is a witness between you and me today.” That is why it was called Galeed.

Laban said,“ This heap is a witness between you and me today.” Therefore he named it Galeed,

Then Laban declared,“ This pile of stones will stand as a witness to remind us of the covenant we have made today.” This explains why it was called Galeed—“ Witness Pile.”

Then Laban said,“ This mound is a witness between you and me today.” Therefore the place was called Galeed

Laban said,“ This heap is a witness between you and me this day.” Therefore it was named Galeed,

And Laban said,“ This heap is a witness between you and me this day.” Therefore its name was called Galeed,

And Laban said, This heap is witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed:

Then Laban said,“ This mound is a witness between you and me today.” Therefore the place was called Galeed

And Laban said, This heap[ is] a witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;

Laban said,“ This pile of stones is a witness of our agreement today.” That is why it was called Galeed.

Laban said,“ This heap is witness between me and you today.” Therefore it was named Galeed

“ Look!” he said to all the people.“ This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the Lord has spoken to us. Suppose you aren’t faithful to your God. Then the stone will be a witness against you.”

Not a single town was too strong for us. That includes all the towns from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon River valley all the way to Gilead. It also includes the town in the valley. The Lord our God gave us all of them.

But I gave to the tribes of Reuben and Gad the territory that reaches from Gilead down to the Arnon River valley. It goes all the way to the Jabbok River. The Jabbok is the northern border of Ammon. The middle of the Arnon River valley is its southern border.

He took his relatives with him and went after Jacob. Seven days later he caught up with him in the hill country of Gilead.

The other half of Manasseh’s tribe had already received the share of land Moses had given them. Their share was east of the Jordan River. The tribes of Reuben and Gad had already received their share too. Moses, the servant of the Lord, had given it to them.That land starts at Aroer on the rim of the Arnon River valley. It includes the town in the middle of the valley. It includes the high plains of Medeba all the way to Dibon.
