Jacob said to his relatives,“ Gather stones.” So they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there by the heap.

又对众弟兄说：“你们堆聚石头。”他们就拿石头来堆成一堆，大家便在旁边吃喝。

对弟兄们说：“大家来堆积石头。”他们拿石头堆成一堆，于是在那里，在石堆旁边吃喝。

又謂諸兄弟曰、爾可聚石、眾乃取石、積累為垤、共食於垤上、

He said to his relatives,“ Gather some stones.” So they took stones and piled them in a heap, and they ate there by the heap.

And Jacob said to his kinsmen,“ Gather stones.” And they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there by the heap.

Then he told his family members,“ Gather some stones.” So they gathered stones and piled them in a heap. Then Jacob and Laban sat down beside the pile of stones to eat a covenant meal.

Then Jacob said to his relatives,“ Gather stones.” And they took stones and made a mound, then ate there by the mound.

Though you have searched through all my property, what have you found of all your household property? Set it here in front of my relatives and your relatives, so that they may decide between the two of us.

As for those twelve stones which they had taken from the Jordan, Joshua set them up at Gilgal.And he said to the sons of Israel,“ When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying,‘ What are these stones?’then you shall inform your children, saying,‘ Israel crossed this Jordan on dry ground.’For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed, just as the Lord your God had done to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed;so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, so that you may fear the Lord your God forever.”

A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.

The one with whom you find your gods shall not live; in the presence of our relatives point out what is yours among my belongings and take it for yourself.” Now Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen them.

and Joshua said to them,“ Cross again to the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan, and each of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel.This shall be a sign among you; when your children ask later, saying,‘ What do these stones mean to you?’then you shall say to them,‘ That the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off.’ So these stones shall become a memorial to the sons of Israel forever.”So the sons of Israel did exactly as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, just as the Lord spoke to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel; and they carried them over with them to the encampment and put them down there.Then Joshua set up twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan at the place where the feet of the priests who carried the ark of the covenant were standing, and they are there to this day.

And they took Absalom and threw him into a deep pit in the forest, and erected over him a very large pile of stones. And all Israel fled, each to his own tent.

he took his kinsmen with him and pursued him a distance of seven days’ journey, and he overtook him in the hill country of Gilead.

Then they erected over him a large heap of stones that stands to this day, and the Lord turned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Achor to this day.

Then Jacob offered a sacrifice on the mountain, and called his relatives to the meal; and they ate the meal and spent the night on the mountain.
