And Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather stones; and they took stones, and made an heap: and they did eat there upon the heap.

又对众弟兄说：“你们堆聚石头。”他们就拿石头来堆成一堆，大家便在旁边吃喝。

对弟兄们说：“大家来堆积石头。”他们拿石头堆成一堆，于是在那里，在石堆旁边吃喝。

亦命戚族積石、眾乃取石、積累為堆、共食其側、

亦謂戚族曰、爾可積石、乃群取石、積累為崗、共食於其上。

又謂諸兄弟曰、爾可聚石、眾乃取石、積累為垤、共食於垤上、

He said to his relatives,“ Gather some stones.” So they took stones and piled them in a heap, and they ate there by the heap.

He said to his relatives,“ Get some stones.” So they took stones and put them in a pile. And they ate there by it.

And Jacob said to his kinsmen,“ Gather stones.” And they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there by the heap.

Then he told his family members,“ Gather some stones.” So they gathered stones and piled them in a heap. Then Jacob and Laban sat down beside the pile of stones to eat a covenant meal.

Then Jacob said to his relatives,“ Gather stones.” And they took stones and made a mound, then ate there by the mound.

Whereas thou hast searched all my stuff, what hast thou found of all thy household stuff? set[ it] here before my brethren and thy brethren, that they may judge betwixt us both.

And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal.And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What[ mean] these stones?Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it[ is] mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what[ is] thine with me, and take[ it] to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.

And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:That this may be a sign among you,[ that] when your children ask[ their fathers] in time to come, saying, What[ mean] ye by these stones?Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.

And they took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled every one to his tent.

And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days’ journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead.

And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.

Then Jacob offered sacrifice upon the mount, and called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and tarried all night in the mount.
