This was my situation: The heat consumed me in the daytime and the cold at night, and sleep fled from my eyes.

And what was my life like? The heat burned me in the daytime. And it was so cold at night that I froze. I couldn’t sleep.

There I was: by day the heat consumed me, and the cold by night, and my sleep fled from my eyes.

You know that I love You.”“ Feed My sheep,” Jesus said.

Jacob fled to the land of Aram. Israel worked to earn a wife; he tended flocks for a wife.

Shepherd God’s flock among you, not overseeing out of compulsion but freely, according to God’s will; not for the money but eagerly;not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

In the same region, shepherds were staying out in the fields and keeping watch at night over their flock.

Remember your leaders who have spoken God’s word to you. As you carefully observe the outcome of their lives, imitate their faith.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
