夫爾雖戀慕父家、欲歸甚急、奚竊我上帝像乎。

曰、兄弟、毋作斯惡、

乃率戚族追之、七日至基列山始及焉。

可索僕中、誰藏此物、即當死、我眾為爾之奴。曰、如爾言、藏此物者、當為我奴、餘皆無辜。各人急下囊啟之。家宰遍索、自長迄幼、得爵於便雅憫囊。

拉班往剪羊毛、所藏偶像、拉結竊焉。

何嘗奪人之牛驢、何嘗虐取人、挾制人、受人之賄賂以蔽我明、有一於此、我即償之。我在此於耶和華前、及受膏者前、彼得為證。僉曰、爾未嘗虐取我、挾制我、未嘗奪人物。曰、今日耶和華及受膏者為證、汝之所有、未得於我手。僉曰、俱為證。

所慮者、恐人謗我、為集多金、自務善事、不第主所知、亦人所知、

然吾豈遣人取爾財乎、余勸一兄弟偕提多往、提多取爾財乎、吾眾非一心而步亦步乎、爾意我欲自訴乎、凡我良朋、余宗基督、在上帝前而言此、悉以輔爾德、

異日我值置於汝前、凡山羊非斑駁成點、綿羊非棕色者、即擬我盜、可也。我之公義、以此可徵。

亞伯蘭謂羅得曰、爾我乃骨肉之親、不可相爭、爾牧我牧、何競之有。
