你思家心切，一定要走，但你为什么要偷走我的神像呢？”

对他们说：“各位弟兄，请不要做这种邪恶的事！

于是，他带着族人去追赶，追了七天，在基列山区追上了雅各。

你若在仆人中任何人身上搜到银杯，他就要死！我们也要做我主的奴仆。”管家说：“好，就照你们的话做吧！银杯从谁那里搜出来，谁就做我的奴仆，其他人都没有罪。”于是，他们急忙把口袋卸到地上打开。管家就从最年长的开始搜查，最后在便雅悯的口袋里搜出了银杯。

那时拉班正在外面剪羊毛，拉结偷了父亲的家庭神像。

我们这样做是为了避免有人挑我们的不是，因我们经手的捐款数目可观。无论在主面前或在人面前，我们务求行事为人光明磊落。

请问，在我派到你们那里的人当中，我借着谁占过你们的便宜呢？我恳求提多去你们那里，并派弟兄与他同去。难道提多占过你们的便宜吗？我们行事为人岂不是心灵相通，步调一致吗？你们一直以为我们是替自己辩白，其实我们这番话是在基督里、在上帝面前说的。亲爱的弟兄姊妹，这一切都是为了造就你们。

以后，如果你在给我作薪酬的羊群中发现白色的绵羊或没有斑点的山羊，就算是我偷的。这样你可以知道我是否诚实。”

亚伯兰对罗得说：“我们不该彼此争执，我们的牧人也不该互相争执，因为我们是骨肉至亲。
