當日將牡山羊之有圈點者、牝山羊之斑駁成點、兼雜白文者、及綿羊之棕色者、悉付己子、移之遠方、相去三日、惟雅各仍牧拉班之餘羊。○遂將楊柳杏楓之枝、擇其嫩者、剝皮成文、使枝之白間露、置枝於溝壑水槽、群畜來飲之處、與群相對、使畜飲時、牝牡相誘、群畜附枝相誘、遂產斑駁圈點者。雅各將羔羊區別之、以己群驅在一方、與拉班群中、所有圈與棕色之羊相對、不與拉班羊相雜。遇畜之肥健者相誘、雅各置枝於水道、而當其前、使附枝相誘。若畜之贏弱者、不置之、如是弱歸拉班、肥歸雅各。且生息繁多、牲畜奴婢駝驢、不可悉數、拉班眾子相議曰、我父所有者、而雅各奪之、因致巨富。雅各聞之、

君夫人宜傾耳以聆、悉心以思兮、爾之鄉黨宗族、毋懸念兮、

是耶和華將爾父所畜悉賜於我。
