And he said,‘ Lift up your eyes and see, all the goats that mate with the flock are striped, spotted, and mottled, for I have seen all that Laban is doing to you.

他说：‘你当举目观看，所有与母羊交配的公羊，都是有纹、有点、有花斑的；这是因我看见了拉班对你所做的一切。

他說：『你要舉目，觀看所有與母羊交配的公羊，都是有紋、有點、有花斑的；這是因我看見了拉班對你所做的一切。

曰、試觀牡羊乘其牝者、皆有文、有點、有斑、蓋拉班之待爾、我已監之、

曰、試觀眾牡羊、乘其牝者、無非圈點斑駁、蓋拉班之待爾、我已監之。我乃伯特利之上帝、

曰、舉目觀乘牝羊之牡羊、皆有紋理與點與斑、蓋拉班之待爾、我已鑒之、

And he said,‘ Look up and see that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or spotted, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.

He said,‘ Look around you. See the male goats mating with the flock. All of them have stripes, speckles or spots. That’s because I have seen everything that Laban has been doing to you.

“ The angel said,‘ Look up, and you will see that only the streaked, speckled, and spotted males are mating with the females of your flock. For I have seen how Laban has treated you.

And he said,‘ Look up and see: all the males that are mating with the flocks are streaked, spotted, and speckled, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.

He said,‘ Now raise your eyes and see that all the male goats that are mating are striped, speckled, or mottled; for I have seen everything that Laban has been doing to you.

And He said,‘ Lift your eyes now and see, all the rams which leap on the flocks are streaked, speckled, and gray-spotted; for I have seen all that Laban is doing to you.

And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see: all the he- goats which leap upon the flock are ringstreaked, speckled, and grizzled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.

And He said,‘ Look up and see: all the males that are mating with the flocks are streaked, spotted, and speckled, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.

And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle[ are] ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.

Then he said,‘ Observe that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled, or spotted, for I have observed all that Laban has done to you.

He said,‘ Now lift up your eyes, and behold, all the male goats which leap on the flock are streaked, speckled, and grizzled, for I have seen all that Laban does to you.

Then the Lord said,“ I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings,

If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been on my side, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God saw my affliction and the labor of my hands and rebuked you last night.”

I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their groaning, and I have come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you to Egypt.’

Masters, do the same to them, and stop your threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no partiality with him.

You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.

“ You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

You shall give him his wages on the same day, before the sun sets( for he is poor and counts on it), lest he cry against you to the Lord, and you be guilty of sin.

If you see in a province the oppression of the poor and the violation of justice and righteousness, do not be amazed at the matter, for the high official is watched by a higher, and there are yet higher ones over them.

And now, behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

“ Because the poor are plundered, because the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord;“ I will place him in the safety for which he longs.”

Then Jacob took fresh sticks of poplar and almond and plane trees, and peeled white streaks in them, exposing the white of the sticks.He set the sticks that he had peeled in front of the flocks in the troughs, that is, the watering places, where the flocks came to drink. And since they bred when they came to drink,the flocks bred in front of the sticks and so the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted.And Jacob separated the lambs and set the faces of the flocks toward the striped and all the black in the flock of Laban. He put his own droves apart and did not put them with Laban’s flock.Whenever the stronger of the flock were breeding, Jacob would lay the sticks in the troughs before the eyes of the flock, that they might breed among the sticks,but for the feebler of the flock he would not lay them there. So the feebler would be Laban’s, and the stronger Jacob’s.Thus the man increased greatly and had large flocks, female servants and male servants, and camels and donkeys.
