瑞秋说：“神为我伸了冤，他确实垂听我的声音，赐给了我一个儿子。”因此给孩子起名为但。

Then Rachel said,“ God has vindicated me; he has listened to my plea and given me a son.” Because of this she named him Dan.

Then Rachel said,“ God has stood up for my rights. He has listened to my prayer and given me a son.” So she named him Dan.

Then Rachel said,“ God has judged me, and has also heard my voice and given me a son.” Therefore she called his name Dan.

Rachel named him Dan, for she said,“ God has vindicated me! He has heard my request and given me a son.”

Rachel said,“ God has vindicated me; yes, he has heard me and given me a son,” so she named him Dan.

Then Rachel said,“ God has vindicated me, and has indeed heard my voice and has given me a son.” Therefore she named him Dan.

Then Rachel said,“ God has judged my case; and He has also heard my voice and given me a son.” Therefore she called his name Dan.

Rachel said,“ God has vindicated me; yes, He has heard me and given me a son,” and she named him Dan.

And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.

Then Rachel said,“ God has vindicated me. He has responded to my prayer and given me a son.” That is why she named him Dan.

Rachel said,“ God has judged me, and has also heard my voice, and has given me a son.” Therefore she called his name Dan.

Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: Oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

O Jehovah, thou hast seen my wrong; judge thou my cause.

Judge me, O Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.

Dan shall judge his people, As one of the tribes of Israel.Dan shall be a serpent in the way, An adder in the path, That biteth the horse’s heels, So that his rider falleth backward.

And I will make them to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not; for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.O Jehovah, thou knowest; remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered reproach.Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy words were unto me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O Jehovah, God of hosts.I sat not in the assembly of them that make merry, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand; for thou hast filled me with indignation.Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou indeed be unto me as a deceitful brook, as waters that fail?Therefore thus saith Jehovah, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, that thou mayest stand before me; and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: they shall return unto thee, but thou shalt not return unto them.And I will make thee unto this people a fortified brazen wall; and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith Jehovah.

And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben; for she said, Because Jehovah hath looked upon my affliction; for now my husband will love me.And she conceived again, and bare a son: and said, Because Jehovah hath heard that I am hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have borne him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, This time will I praise Jehovah: therefore she called his name Judah; and she left off bearing.

And the sons of Dan: Hushim.

So I bought a girdle according to the word of Jehovah, and put it upon my loins.

Therefore will I scatter them, as the stubble that passeth away, by the wind of the wilderness.

And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion’s whelp, That leapeth forth from Bashan.

and the sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s handmaid: Dan and Naphtali;
