其實在我來之前，你擁有的很少，後來卻大大增多了；耶和華隨著我的腳蹤祝福了你；而如今，我什麼時候才能為自己的家做點事呢？」

法老因她的緣故善待亞伯蘭；亞伯蘭得了許多羊、牛、公驢、男僕、婢女、母驢和駱駝。

請你收下我帶給你的禮物吧！因為神恩待我，我什麼都有了。」雅各再三勸說，他才收下。

你向你僕人所施行的一切慈愛和信實，我一點也不配。我先前只帶著一根杖過這約旦河，如今我卻擁有這兩隊了。

我買下了男僕和婢女，我也有生在我家裡的奴僕；我還擁有大量的牛群和羊群，超過我之前在耶路撒冷的所有人；

看哪，我與你同在！你無論往哪裡去，我都會保守你，並且要把你帶回這地。我必不離棄你，直到成就了我對你所說的。」

要不是我父親的神，亞伯拉罕的神，以撒所敬畏的那一位與我同在，你現在一定會打發我空手而去。神看到我的苦情和我手上的辛勞，就在昨夜責備了你。」

你們的父親卻愚弄我，十次更改了我的工酬；但神不允許他傷害我。如果他說：『羊中有點的是你的工酬』，群羊就都生有點的；如果他說：『羊中有紋的是你的工酬』，群羊就都生有紋的。

因為兩人擁有的很多，不能住在一起；他們的牲畜眾多，寄居之地容不下他們。
