Laban asked,“ What should I give you?” And Jacob said,“ You don’t need to give me anything. If you do this one thing for me, I will continue to shepherd and keep your flock.

拉班说：“我当给你什么呢？”雅各说：“什么你也不必给我，只有一件事，你若应承，我便仍旧牧放你的羊群。

拉班说：“我该给你什么呢？”雅各说：“你什么也不必给我，只要你为我做这件事，我就继续牧放你的羊群。

拉班说：“我该给你什么呢？”雅各说：“你什么也不必给我，只要你为我做这件事，我就继续牧放你的羊群。

拉班问：“我该给你什么呢？”雅各说：“你不用给我什么，只要你答应一件事，我就继续照料你的羊群。

拉班问：“我该给你什么？”雅各回答：“你什么也不必给我；只要你答应我这一件事，我就继续牧放看守你的羊群。

拉班说：“我该给你什么呢？”雅各说：“你什么也不必给我；只要你答应我一件事，我就继续放牧、看守你的羊群。

拉班說：「我當給你甚麼呢？」雅各說：「甚麼你也不必給我，只有一件事，你若應承，我便仍舊牧放你的羊羣。

拉班說：「我該給你甚麼呢？」雅各說：「你甚麼也不必給我，只要你為我做這件事，我就繼續牧放你的羊羣。

拉班問：「我該給你什麼呢？」雅各說：「你不用給我什麼，只要你答應一件事，我就繼續照料你的羊群。

拉班問：“我該給你甚麼？”雅各回答：“你甚麼也不必給我；只要你答應我這一件事，我就繼續牧放看守你的羊群。

拉班說：『我當給你甚麼？』雅各說：『你甚麼也不用給我；只有這一件事你若實行，我便仍舊牧放你的羊羣而看守牠。

拉班說：「我該給你什麼呢？」雅各說：「你什麼也不必給我；只要你答應我一件事，我就繼續放牧、看守你的羊群。

拉班曰、我何以予爾、曰、無須、惟有一事、爾若行之、則仍牧守爾羣、

拉班曰、我何以酬爾。曰、爾欲相酬、無需他物、惟有一事、若許則仍為爾牧。

拉班曰、我以何予爾、雅各曰、無庸以何者予我、惟有一事、爾若行之、則我仍牧爾羊、

“ What shall I give you?” he asked.“ Don’t give me anything,” Jacob replied.“ But if you will do this one thing for me, I will go on tending your flocks and watching over them:

“ What should I give you?” Laban asked.“ Don’t give me anything,” Jacob replied.“ Just do one thing for me. Then I’ll go on taking care of your flocks and watching over them.

He said,“ What shall I give you?” Jacob said,“ You shall not give me anything. If you will do this for me, I will again pasture your flock and keep it:

“ What wages do you want?” Laban asked again. Jacob replied,“ Don’t give me anything. Just do this one thing, and I’ll continue to tend and watch over your flocks.

So he said,“ What shall I give you?” And Jacob said,“ You shall not give me anything. If you will do this one thing for me, I will again pasture and keep your flock:

So he said,“ What shall I give you?” And Jacob said,“ You shall not give me anything. If you will do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep your flocks:

And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me aught: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed thy flock and keep it.

Laban asked,“ What should I give you?” And Jacob said,“ You don’t need to give me anything. If you do this one thing for me, I will continue to shepherd and keep your flock.

And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed[ and] keep thy flock:

So Laban asked,“ What should I give you?”“ You don’t need to give me a thing,” Jacob replied,“ but if you agree to this one condition, I will continue to care for your flocks and protect them:

Laban said,“ What shall I give you?” Jacob said,“ You shall not give me anything. If you will do this thing for me, I will again feed your flock and keep it.

The Gibeonites said to him,“ We are not asking for silver and gold from Saul or his family, and we cannot put anyone to death in Israel.”“ Whatever you say, I will do for you,” he said.They replied to the king,“ As for the man who annihilated us and plotted to destroy us so we would not exist within the whole territory of Israel,let seven of his male descendants be handed over to us so we may hang them in the presence of the LORD at Gibeah of Saul, the LORD’s chosen.” The king answered,“ I will hand them over.”

Keep your life free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for he himself has said, I will never leave you or abandon you.

It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humanity.
