Then Leah said,“ God has rewarded me because I gave my female servant to my husband.” So she named the boy Issachar.

Leah said,“ God has given me my wages because I gave my servant to my husband.” So she called his name Issachar.

She named him Issachar, for she said,“ God has rewarded me for giving my servant to my husband as a wife.”

Leah said,“ God has rewarded me for giving my slave to my husband,” and she named him Issachar.

Then Leah said,“ God has given me my reward, because I gave my slave to my husband.” So she named him Issachar.

Leah said,“ God has given me my wages, because I have given my maid to my husband.” So she called his name Issachar.

And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I gave my handmaid to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.

Leah said,“ God has rewarded me for giving my slave to my husband,” and she named him Issachar.

And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.

Then Leah said,“ God has granted me a reward because I gave my servant to my husband as a wife.” So she named him Issachar.

Leah said,“ God has given me my hire, because I gave my servant to my husband.” She named him Issachar.

Leah was the mother of Reuben, Jacob’s oldest son. Her other sons were Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar and Zebulun.

Here’s what Moses said about Zebulun and Issachar.“ Zebulun, be filled with joy when you go out. Issachar, be joyful in your tents.

“ Issachar is like a wild donkey lying down among the sheep pens.He sees how good his resting place is. He sees that his land is pleasant. So he will carry a heavy load on his back. He will obey when he’s forced to work.

The men from Issachar understood what was going on at that time. They knew what Israel should do. The total number of their chiefs was 200. They came with all their relatives who were under their command.

The sons of Issachar were Tola, Puah, Jashub and Shimron.
