利亞謂為吉慶、故名之曰迦得、

利亞命名伽得、曰、幸甚。

利亞曰、福至矣、故名之曰迦得、迦得譯即福之義

“ As for Gad, a band of raiders shall attack him, But he will attack at their heels.

and the sons of Zilpah, Leah’s female slave, were Gad and Asher. These were the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Paddan aram.
