Where can I flee to escape your presence?If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be.If I were to fly away on the wings of the dawn, and settle down on the other side of the sea,even there your hand would guide me, your right hand would grab hold of me.If I were to say,“ Certainly the darkness will cover me, and the light will turn to night all around me,”even the darkness is not too dark for you to see, and the night is as bright as day; darkness and light are the same to you.

And no creature is hidden from God, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.

They show that the work of the law is written in their hearts, as their conscience bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or else defend them,

Even if they could dig down into the netherworld, my hand would pull them up from there. Even if they could climb up to heaven, I would drag them down from there.Even if they were to hide on the top of Mount Carmel, I would hunt them down and take them from there. Even if they tried to hide from me at the bottom of the sea, from there I would command the Sea Serpent to bite them.

Have a people ever heard the voice of God speaking from the middle of fire, as you yourselves have, and lived to tell about it?

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind:

For the LORD your God walks about in the middle of your camp to deliver you and defeat your enemies for you. Therefore your camp should be holy, so that he does not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you.

The man replied,“ I heard you moving about in the orchard, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.”

But now, why should we die, because this intense fire will consume us! If we keep hearing the voice of the LORD our God we will die!

Thick clouds are a veil for him, so he does not see us, as he goes back and forth in the vault of heaven.’
