After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

The Lord God drove him out and then placed angels on the east side of the garden. He also placed there a flaming sword that flashed back and forth. The angels and the sword guarded the way to the tree of life.

He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life.

After sending them out, the Lord God stationed mighty cherubim to the east of the Garden of Eden. And he placed a flaming sword that flashed back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

關於天使，他確實說：「神使他的天使為風，使他的僕役為烈火。」

他以風作自己的使者，以火焰作自己的僕役。

所以在哪裡這些罪得了赦免，在哪裡就不再有贖罪的供物了。因此，弟兄們，我們藉著耶穌的血，可以坦然無懼地進入至聖所。他為我們開闢了一條又新又活的道路，從幔子經過；這幔子就是他的身體。既然我們有一位偉大的祭司管理神的家，既然我們的心被血灑過，脫離了罪惡感，身體也被清水洗淨了，就讓我們懷著真誠的心，以確信不移的信仰近前來；

耶穌說：「我就是道路、真理、生命。要不是藉著我，沒有人能到父那裡去。

耶和華神在東方的伊甸栽種了一個園子，把所塑造的那人安置在那裡。耶和華神使各樣的樹從地裡長出來，令人眼目喜愛，作為食物也很好；在園子的中間有生命樹和分辨善惡樹。

耶和華作王，萬民當顫抖！他坐在基路伯之上，大地當搖撼！

於是民眾派人去示羅，從那裡把坐在基路伯之上的萬軍之耶和華的約櫃抬來，以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈也跟著神的約櫃來了。

以色列的牧者啊，引領約瑟如同引領羊群的那一位啊，求你傾聽！坐在基路伯之上的那一位啊，求你發出光芒！
