我昔在爾中命爾云、人不操作、勿予之食、

蓋裸而出世、必裸而歸土、所勤勞而得者、毫不能攜。

光天之下、營營操作、何益之有。

我於爾中為賓旅、請以塚地與我、使死者得葬。○

專心致志、窮察天下事、知上帝以斯任畀人、使竭其心思。

上帝摶土為人、永不忘兮、

背道之人、必與地獄之徒為伍。

夫因一人而致死、亦因一人而致甦、凡屬亞當者死、屬基督者甦、

兄弟當念我勞苦、晝夜工作、不累爾一人、以傳上帝福音、

要皆長眠黃土、蚯蚓盤其上。

亞伯拉罕曰、吾雖若纖塵、而敢上告、

席豐履厚者、必崇事之兮、困苦瀕死者、必拜跪之兮、

別無所望、惟以墓為室、長眠地下。與朽腐為鄰、與蚯蚓同處、奚啻父母姊妹、我至此、豈復有冀望哉、即有所望、安能遂乎。必歸陰府、安寢於土、所望之福、歸於烏有。

且以一人、在世有罪、因罪而死、於是人皆有罪、人皆有死、法未立、罪在世、惟無法、則有罪不為犯法、然自亞當至摩西、及不效尤亞當者、皆死乘權以治之、亞當乃後至者之對也、罪愆不如恩賜、蓋以一人之愆、致眾死亡、孰若上帝之恩、及耶穌基督一人、恩賜於有眾、為高厚乎、定擬由一人之罪、不如恩賜由一人之義、蓋審判由一罪以定擬、恩賜則多罪而稱義、夫以一人之罪、致死乘權、孰若耶穌基督、以一身便獲洪恩者、稱義而生乘權乎、是眾見擬者、以一人之愆、稱義而生者、以一人之義也、是眾為罪者、以一人之逆、眾為義者、以一人之順也、律法立、而罪之多以顯、亦罪多、而恩之洪益彰、罪惡乘權、死者攸係、恩寵稱義乘權、永生可致、要惟賴吾主耶穌基督為然、
