You will have to work hard and sweat a lot to produce the food you eat. You were made out of the ground. You will return to it when you die. You are dust, and you will return to dust.”

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the life’s breath returns to God who gave it.

When you ignore them, they panic. When you take away their life’s breath, they die and return to dust.

all flesh would perish together and human beings would return to dust.

You make mankind return to the dust, and say,“ Return, O people!”

The LORD God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Both go to the same place, both come from the dust, and to dust both return.

For even when we were with you, we used to give you this command:“ If anyone is not willing to work, neither should he eat.”

The one who steals must steal no longer; rather he must labor, doing good with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with the one who has need.

Just as he came forth from his mother’s womb, naked will he return as he came, and he will take nothing in his hand that he may carry away from his toil.

What benefit do people get from all the effort which they expend on earth?

“ I am a temporary settler among you. Grant me ownership of a burial site among you so that I may bury my dead.”

I decided to carefully and thoroughly examine all that has been accomplished on earth. I concluded: God has given people a burdensome task that keeps them occupied.

For he knows what we are made of; he realizes we are made of clay.

The one who wanders from the way of wisdom will end up in the company of the departed.

For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man.For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

For you recall, brothers and sisters, our toil and drudgery: By working night and day so as not to impose a burden on any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

Together they lie down in the dust, and worms cover over them both.

All of the thriving people of the earth will join the celebration and worship; all those who are descending into the grave will bow before him, including those who cannot preserve their lives.

He said,“ Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return there. The LORD gives, and the LORD takes away. May the name of the LORD be blessed!”

The roof of my mouth is as dry as a piece of pottery; my tongue sticks to my gums. You set me in the dust of death.

Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake– some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence.

And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God,

So then, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all people because all sinned–for before the law was given, sin was in the world, but there is no accounting for sin when there is no law.Yet death reigned from Adam until Moses even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam( who is a type of the coming one) transgressed.But the gracious gift is not like the transgression. For if the many died through the transgression of the one man, how much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ multiply to the many!And the gift is not like the one who sinned. For judgment, resulting from the one transgression, led to condemnation, but the gracious gift from the many failures led to justification.For if, by the transgression of the one man, death reigned through the one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ!Consequently, just as condemnation for all people came through one transgression, so too through the one righteous act came righteousness leading to life for all people.For just as through the disobedience of the one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one man many will be made righteous.Now the law came in so that the transgression may increase, but where sin increased, grace multiplied all the more,so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
