By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”

You will have to work hard and sweat a lot to produce the food you eat. You were made out of the ground. You will return to it when you die. You are dust, and you will return to dust.”

尘土要归回原来之地，灵要归回赐灵的神。

你向它们掩面，它们就惊慌；你收回它们的气息，它们就死亡，归回尘土。

有血肉生命的就都一同气绝身亡，世人都归回尘土。

你使人归回尘土，说：“世人哪！你们要归回尘土。”

耶和华神用地上的尘土造成人形，把生命之气吹进他的鼻孔里，那人就成了有生命的活人，名叫亚当。

大家都到一个地方去，都出于尘土，也都归回尘土。

我们在你们那里的时候，曾经吩咐过你们，如果有人不肯作工，就不可吃饭。

偷窃的，不要再偷，却要作工，亲手作正当的事，使自己可以把所得到的，分给缺乏的人。

他怎样从母胎赤身而来，也必怎样赤身而去；在劳碌中得来的，他的手也带不走什么。

人的一切劳碌，就是他在日光之下的劳碌，对自己有什么益处呢？

“我是在你们中间寄居的外族人，求你们在你们中间给我一块坟地作产业，使我可以埋葬我死了的人，使她不露在我面前。”

我曾用智慧专心寻求查究天下所发生的一切事；原来神给予世人的，是劳苦的担子，叫他们为此烦恼。

因为他知道我们的本体，记得我们不过是尘土。

偏离明慧之道的人，必住在阴魂的会中。

死既藉着一人而来，死人复活也藉着一人而来。在亚当里众人都死了，照样，在基督里众人也都要复活；

弟兄们，你们应该记得我们的辛苦和劳碌；我们把神的福音传给你们的时候，怎样昼夜作工，免得你们有人受累。

他们都一起躺在尘土中，虫子爬满他们身上。

亚伯拉罕回答，说：“我虽然是灰尘，还大胆地对我主说话。

地上所有富足的人，都必吃喝、敬拜；所有下到尘土中，不再存活的人，都在他面前屈身下拜。

我若等待阴间作我的家，在黑暗中铺张我的床榻；我若对深坑说：‘你是我的父亲’，对虫说：‘你是我的母亲，我的姊妹’，那么，我的指望在哪里呢？我的指望谁能看得见呢？等到安息在尘土中的时候，那些指望必下到阴间的门闩那里。”

说：“我赤身出于母胎，也必赤身归去。赏赐的是耶和华，收回的也是耶和华；耶和华的名是应当称颂的。”

我的精力像瓦片一样枯干，我的舌头紧黏着上颚，你把我放在死亡的尘土中。

必有许多睡在尘土中的人醒过来，有的要得永生，有的要受羞辱，永远被憎恶。

我的皮肉遭受毁坏以后，这事就要发生，我必在肉体以外得见神。

正好像罪藉着一个人入了世界，死又是从罪来的，所以死就临到所有人，因为所有人都犯了罪。没有律法以前，罪已经在世界上了；不过，没有律法的时候，罪也不算罪。可是，从亚当到摩西，死就掌权了，甚至那些不像亚当那样犯罪的人，也在死的权下；亚当正是要来的那一位的预表。但恩赏和过犯是截然不同的；如果因着那一人的过犯，众人都死了，神的恩典和这一人耶稣基督在恩典里的赏赐，对众人就更加丰盛了。这赏赐和那一人犯罪的后果也是不同的；因为审判是由一人而来，以致定罪，恩赏却由许多过犯而来，以致称义。如果因着那一人的过犯，死就因那一人而掌权，那些蒙丰富的恩典并且得公义为赏赐的，就更要因这一位耶稣基督在生命中掌权了。这样看来，因一次的过犯，所有人都被定罪；照样，因一次的义行，所有人都被称义得生命了。因着那一人的悖逆，众人就被列为罪人；照样，因着这一人的顺服，众人也被列为义人了。律法的出现，是要叫过犯增多；然而罪在哪里增多，恩典就更加增多了。罪藉着死掌权；照样，恩典也藉着义掌权，使人藉着我们的主耶稣基督进入永生。
