And Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Reuben, for she said,“ Because the Lord has looked upon my affliction; for now my husband will love me.”

我籲我列祖之上帝耶和華、蒙其垂聽、鑒我所受之艱難、勞苦暴虐、

民乃信之、既聞耶和華眷顧以色列人、鑒其困苦、遂俯首崇拜焉、

耶和華曰、吾民在埃及之艱辛、我見之矣、因受督役者之酷暴而哀號、我聞之矣、彼之愁苦、我知之矣、

垂顧我苦勞、赦宥我罪戾兮、

使吾祖亞伯拉罕之上帝、吾父以撒所畏者、不與我偕、爾必使我徒返、惟上帝監我操作辛勤、故前夕譴爾、○

曰主於顧我之日待我若此、以滌我恥於人間、○

至旅邸、一人啟囊、以糧飼驢、見金在囊口、

庶幾耶和華鑒我之冤、緣其今日之詛、報我以善、

流便歟、爾乃吾之冢子、吾之能力、我強健時、所首生者、厥榮及權、超越於眾、惟爾如水之沸、故不卓犖、緣登父牀、而污我榻、

流便至井、窺約瑟不在、遂裂己衣、

居彼時、流便烝父妾辟拉、事聞於以色列、○

流便為以色列長子、因污其父之榻、故長子之業、歸於以色列子約瑟之子、惟譜系不依此記載、

許願曰、萬軍之耶和華歟、如爾垂顧婢苦、憶我弗忘、賜婢生男、則必奉之耶和華、至於畢生、薙髮之刀、不加其首、

然猶聽其呼籲、恤其患難兮、

以色列族至埃及者、其名如左、雅各與其諸子、長子流便、流便之子、哈諾、法路、希斯崙、迦米、

流便曰、我豈不曰、勿干咎於孺子、惟爾弗聽、故討其血於我也、
