When the Lord saw that Leah was not loved, he enabled her to conceive, but Rachel remained childless.

The Lord saw that Jacob didn’t love Leah as much as he loved Rachel. So he let Leah have children. But Rachel wasn’t able to have children.

When the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.

When the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, he enabled her to have children, but Rachel could not conceive.

When the LORD saw that Leah was neglected, he opened her womb; but Rachel was unable to conceive.

So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying,“ Because I asked the Lord for him.” (niv)

A certain man of Zorah, named Manoah, from the clan of the Danites, had a wife who was childless, unable to give birth.The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said,“ You are barren and childless, but you are going to become pregnant and give birth to a son. (niv)
