He looked, and behold, a well in the field, and saw three flocks of sheep lying there by it. For out of that well they watered the flocks. The stone on the well’s mouth was large.

看见田间有一口井，有三群羊卧在井旁；因为人饮羊群都是用那井里的水。井口上的石头是大的。

見有井於野、羊羣三、附井而臥、蓋人素由此飲之、井口覆以大石、

見有井於田、大石覆其上、羊群三、附井而卧、蓋人必飲羊於此。

There he saw a well in the open country, with three flocks of sheep lying near it because the flocks were watered from that well. The stone over the mouth of the well was large.

Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and lived in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well.Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. They came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

He made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time that women go out to draw water.

Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

Behold, I am standing by the spring of water. The daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.
