見有井於野、羊羣三、附井而臥、蓋人素由此飲之、井口覆以大石、

There he saw a well in the open country, with three flocks of sheep lying near it because the flocks were watered from that well. The stone over the mouth of the well was large.

因為在寶座中央的羔羊要作他們的牧人，引導他們到生命之泉那裡，上帝要擦乾他們所有的眼淚。」

法老聽說這件事後，便想殺死摩西。摩西為了躲避法老，就逃到米甸居住。一天他坐在一口井旁，米甸祭司的七個女兒來打水，要把水倒進槽裡飲她們父親的羊。

黃昏，婦女們出來打水的時候，他讓駱駝跪在城外的井旁，

祂讓我安歇在青草地上，領我到幽靜的溪水旁。

不要因為我被太陽曬黑就看不起我。這是因為我的兄弟惱恨我，要我在烈日之下看守葡萄園，使我無暇照顧自己。我心愛的人啊，告訴我吧，你在哪裡牧羊？中午帶羊去哪裡歇息？我何必在你同伴的羊群旁流浪，像風塵女子一樣呢？

他們不再饑渴，也不再被熱風和烈日灼傷，因為憐憫他們的那位必引導他們，領他們到泉水邊。

雅各井就在那個地方。耶穌走路疲乏，坐在井旁休息。那時是中午時分，

但是喝了我所賜的活水，永遠不會再渴。我所賜的水要在他裡面成為生命的泉源，湧流不息，直到永生。」

現在，我站在這泉水旁，城裡的少女正出來打水。
