以亞伯拉罕之嘏錫爾、及爾苗裔、俾承所旅之地、即昔上帝所賜亞伯拉罕者、

以亞伯拉罕之嘏錫爾、爰及苗裔、昔上帝以斯土錫亞伯拉罕、而爾旅之、今願與爾為業。

以所許亞伯拉罕之福、賜爾及爾後裔、以所賜亞伯拉罕之地、即爾所寄居之地、賜爾為業、

May he give you and your descendants the blessing given to Abraham, so that you may take possession of the land where you now reside as a foreigner, the land God gave to Abraham.”

May he give you and your children after you the blessing he gave to Abraham. Then you can take over the land where you now live as an outsider. It’s the land God gave to Abraham.”

May he give the blessing of Abraham to you and to your offspring with you, that you may take possession of the land of your sojournings that God gave to Abraham!”

May God pass on to you and your descendants the blessings he promised to Abraham. May you own this land where you are now living as a foreigner, for God gave this land to Abraham.”

這樣，賜給亞伯拉罕的祝福可以藉著基督耶穌臨到外族人，使我們也可以藉著信得到上帝應許賜給我們的聖靈。

耶和華向亞伯蘭顯現，對他說：「我要把這片土地賜給你的後裔。」亞伯蘭就在那裡為向他顯現的耶和華築了一座壇。

讚美我們主耶穌基督的父上帝！祂在基督裡賜給了我們天上各樣屬靈的恩福。

「耶和華啊，求你垂聽我的禱告，傾聽我的呼求，別對我的眼淚視若無睹。因為我在你面前只是客旅，是寄居的，正如我的祖先。

我必賜福給你，使你的後裔多如天上的星和海邊的沙。你的後裔必佔領仇敵的城池，天下萬國必因你的後裔而蒙福，因為你聽從了我的話。』」

我要使你的子孫極其興旺，許多民族和君王必從你而出。我要和你並你的子子孫孫立永恆的約，我要做你和你子孫的上帝。我要把你現在寄居的整個迦南賜給你和你的後裔永遠作產業，我也必做他們的上帝。」

聖經早就指明，上帝要叫外族人因信而被稱為義人，祂預先將福音傳給亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國必因你而蒙福。」

他憑信心像異鄉人一樣寄居在上帝應許給他的地方。他住在帳篷裡，與同受一個應許的以撒和雅各一樣。因為他盼望的是一座有根基的城，是由上帝設計、建造的。撒拉過了生育年齡後憑信心仍然得到了孕育後代的能力，因為她認定賜她應許的上帝言出必行。所以，從一個垂暮之年的人生出許多子孫，好像天上的星、海邊的沙那麼多。這些人到死都滿懷信心。他們雖然沒有得到上帝所應許的，卻從遠處望見了，就歡喜快樂，承認自己在世上不過是寄居的異鄉人。

願他的名流芳百世，如日長存。願萬國都因他而蒙福，都稱頌他。

「過犯得到赦免、罪惡被遮蓋的人有福了。不被主定罪的人有福了。」

羅得離開後，耶和華對亞伯蘭說：「從你站的地方向東西南北眺望，你所能看見的地方，我都要賜給你和你的後代，直到永遠。我要使你的後代多如地上的塵土，人若能數算地上的塵土，才能數算你的後代。你起來走遍這片土地，因為我要把這片土地賜給你。」

耶和華對亞伯蘭說：「你要離開家鄉、親族和父親的家，到我要指示你的地方去。我必使你成為大國，我必賜福給你，使你聲名遠播。你必成為別人的祝福。我必賜福給那些祝福你的人，咒詛那些咒詛你的人。世上萬族必因你而蒙福。」

就在那天，耶和華跟亞伯蘭立約，說：「我必將這片土地賜給你的後代，使他們得到從埃及河到幼發拉底河一帶的土地，就是基尼人、基尼洗人、甲摩尼人、赫人、比利洗人、利乏音人、亞摩利人、迦南人、革迦撒人和耶布斯人的土地。」

耶和華把亞伯蘭帶到外面，對他說：「你抬頭看看天空，數數繁星，你能數得盡嗎？你的後裔必這麼多。」亞伯蘭信耶和華，耶和華便算他為義人。耶和華又對他說：「我是耶和華，我帶你離開了迦勒底的吾珥，為要把這片土地賜給你。」
