And this stone, which I have set up as a memorial stone, will be God’s house, and of everything that You give me I will assuredly give a tenth to You.”

我所立为柱子的石头也必作神的殿；凡你所赐给我的，我必将十分之一献给你。”

所立柱石、將為上帝室、凡上帝所錫我者、十輸其一以獻之、

且我立柱石將為上帝殿、上帝所錫我者、十輸其一、獻於上帝。

我所立為柱之石、將為天主室、凡主所賜我者、必十輸其一獻於主、

and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God’s house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.”

This stone I’ve set up as a sacred stone will be God’s house. And I’ll give you a tenth of everything you give me.”

And this memorial pillar I have set up will become a place for worshiping God, and I will present to God a tenth of everything he gives me.”

Then he built an altar there, and called the place El bethel, because there God had revealed Himself to him when he fled from his brother.

“ You shall certainly tithe all the produce from what you sow, which comes from the field every year.You shall eat in the presence of the Lord your God, at the place where He chooses to establish His name, the tithe of your grain, your new wine, your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and your flock, so that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always.

Then God said to Jacob,“ Arise, go up to Bethel and live there, and make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”

‘ Now all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord.If, therefore, someone should ever want to redeem part of his tithe, he shall add to it a fifth of it.For every tenth part of herd or flock, whatever passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to the Lord.He is not to be concerned whether it is good or bad, nor shall he exchange it; yet if he does exchange it, then both it and its substitute shall become holy. It shall not be redeemed.’ ”

Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the Lord, the Everlasting God.

Then he proceeded from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord.

Then he erected there an altar and called it El Elohe Israel.

And he was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”

So Jacob set up a memorial stone in the place where He had spoken with him, a memorial of stone, and he poured out a drink offering on it; he also poured oil on it.And Jacob named the place where God had spoken with him, Bethel.
