and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God’s house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.”

「土地的所有出產中，不論是穀物還是樹上的果實，十分之一屬於耶和華，是聖物。如果有人想從那十分之一中贖回一部分，他要加付估價的五分之一。至於牛羊，要讓牠們從牧人的杖下經過，每數十隻，第十隻屬於耶和華，是聖物。不論是好是壞，不可挑揀，不可更換。如果更換，兩隻都要歸耶和華，不可贖回。」

亞伯拉罕在別示巴栽了一棵紅柳，又在那裡呼求耶和華——永恆上帝的名。

然後，他們又啟程前往伯特利東面的山區，在那裡搭起帳篷。他們的西面是伯特利，東面是艾。亞伯蘭又在那裡築了一座壇，求告耶和華。

雅各在那裡築了一座壇，稱之為伊利·伊羅伊·以色列。

他就害怕起來，說：「這地方何等可畏！這裡是上帝的家，是通天的大門。」

雅各在上帝跟他說話的地方立了一根石柱，又在柱子上奠酒、澆油，稱那地方為伯特利。
