Go at once to Paddan Aram, to the house of your mother’s father Bethuel. Take a wife for yourself there, from among the daughters of Laban, your mother’s brother.

Go at once to Paddan Aram. Go to the house of your mother’s father Bethuel. Find a wife for yourself there. Take her from among the daughters of your mother’s brother Laban.

Arise, go to Paddan-aram to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father, and take as your wife from there one of the daughters of Laban your mother’s brother.

Instead, go at once to Paddan aram, to the house of your grandfather Bethuel, and marry one of your uncle Laban’s daughters.

以撒娶利百加為妻的時候，正四十歲。利百加是巴旦．亞蘭地、亞蘭人彼土利的女兒，是亞蘭人拉班的妹妹。

從前雅各逃到亞蘭地，以色列為得妻子而作工，為得妻子而替人放羊。

以上這些人是利亞在巴旦．亞蘭給雅各生的兒子，另外還有女兒底拿。這些子孫一共三十三人。

雅各從巴旦．亞蘭回來以後，神再次向他顯現，賜福給他。

你向你僕人所施的一切慈愛和信實，我實在不配得。從前我只拿著我的手杖過這約旦河；現在我卻擁有這兩隊人馬了。

拉班和彼土利回答，說：“這事既然出於耶和華，我們就不能對你說好說歹。

於是，以撒打發雅各去了，雅各就往巴旦．亞蘭去，到了亞蘭人彼土利的兒子拉班那裡。拉班就是雅各和以掃的母親利百加的哥哥。

這些事以後，有人告訴亞伯拉罕說：“密迦也給你的兄弟拿鶴生了幾個兒子；長子是烏斯，他的弟弟是布斯，和亞蘭的父親基母利；還有基薛、哈瑣、必達、益拉和彼土利。（彼土利生了利百加。）”這八個人，都是密迦給亞伯拉罕的兄弟拿鶴生的兒子。

利百加有一個哥哥，名叫拉班。

又趕著他所有的牲畜，帶著他所得的一切財物，就是他在巴旦．亞蘭所得的一切牲畜，要到迦南地，他父親以撒那裡去。

話還沒有說完，不料，利百加肩頭上扛著水瓶出來了。利百加是彼土利所生的。彼土利是亞伯拉罕兄弟拿鶴的妻子密迦的兒子。那少女容貌非常美麗，還是個處女，沒有男人親近過她。她下到水泉那裡，打滿了水瓶，又上來。僕人就跑去迎著她，說：“請你把瓶裡的水給我喝一點。”那少女回答：“我主請喝。”就急忙把水瓶拿下來，托在手上給他喝。他喝足了，少女就說：“我也要為你的駱駝打水，直到牠們都喝足了。”於是急忙把水瓶裡的水倒在槽裡，又跑到井旁去打水，給他所有的駱駝打上水來。那人一句話也不說，只注視著她，要知道耶和華使他的道路亨通不亨通。駱駝喝足了，那人就拿出一個重近六克的金鼻環，戴在她的鼻子上，又拿出兩個重一百一十四克的金手鐲，套在她的手上，然後問她：“請你告訴我，你是誰的女兒？你父親的家裡有地方給我們住宿沒有？”她回答：“我是密迦給拿鶴所生的兒子彼土利的女兒。”

那僕人從他主人的駱駝裡取了十匹駱駝，帶著主人各樣的美物，起程往兩河之間的亞蘭去，到了拿鶴的城。

雅各繼續前行，到了東方人的地方。
