乃悚然曰、此非上帝之殿、天之闕乎、敢弗寅畏。

就惧怕，说：“这地方何等可畏！这不是别的，乃是神的殿，也是天的门。”

He was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.”

Jacob was afraid. He said,“ How holy this place is! This must be the house of God. This is the gate of heaven.”

And he was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”

But he was also afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!”

使知所當為於上帝宮、即真理之柱石、永生上帝會、

主之使者降臨、主之光華環照、牧者大懼、

時日伊邇、上帝之民且被鞫、若我儕先受審判、則不信上帝福音者、將受何報哉、

且我立柱石將為上帝殿、上帝所錫我者、十輸其一、獻於上帝。

又曰、我乃爾祖之上帝、即亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、摩西蒙其面、不敢覲上帝。

詣上帝殿、必慎必恪傾耳以聆、勿效愚人、作惡獻祭、不自知其非義。

上帝諭雅各曰、昔爾避兄以掃、我於伯特利顯現與爾、今起、往彼而居、築壇祭我。雅各命家人與從者云、外人之上帝、爾當棄之、更衣自潔。昔我遭難、上帝眷顧之、我行於途、上帝庇佑之、今當赴伯特利在彼築壇獻祭。遂以異邦上帝之像、及耳環以予雅各、藏之示劍橡下。遄征前往、上帝使四邑之民咸懼、故追雅各子者、迄無一人。○雅各與從者至迦南路斯是邑亦名伯特利、昔雅各避兄以掃、上帝顯現、故在彼築壇、名其地曰益伯特利。時利百加媼底破喇死、葬於伯特利橡下、名其樹曰亞倫巴哭。○雅各自巴坦亞蘭歸、上帝復顯現、錫嘏曰、爾素名雅各、斯後不第稱此、可更名以色列、遂稱曰以色列。又曰、我乃全能之上帝、使爾生育眾多、以成群族、列王皆由爾出。我所賜亞伯拉罕以撒之地、亦將錫爾、延及苗裔。上帝言竟、上升。

則語其妻曰、我儕睹上帝、必致死亡。

耶和華上帝榮光、充溢殿宇、祭司不得在彼、供其役事。

我見之、俯伏如死、彼手撫我曰、無畏、我乃始始之、終終之者也、

眾出、欲觀所為、就耶穌、見先患鬼之人、衣衣自若、依耶穌足下、眾懼、

我得大祭司、理上帝宮、

門徒聞之、俯伏甚懼、
