He was afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! This is nothing else than the house of God! This is the gate of heaven!”

就惧怕，说：“这地方何等可畏！这不是别的，乃是神的殿，也是天的门。”

乃悚然曰、此非上帝之殿、天之闕乎、敢弗寅畏。

He was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.”

Jacob was afraid. He said,“ How holy this place is! This must be the house of God. This is the gate of heaven.”

And he was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”

But he was also afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!”

in case I am delayed, to let you know how people ought to conduct themselves in the household of God, because it is the church of the living God, the support and bulwark of the truth.

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were absolutely terrified.

Jacob buried them under the oak near Shechemand they started on their journey. The surrounding cities were afraid of God, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.Jacob and all those who were with him arrived at Luz( that is, Bethel) in the land of Canaan.He built an altar there and named the place El Bethel because there God had revealed himself to him when he was fleeing from his brother.( Deborah, Rebekah’s nurse, died and was buried under the oak below Bethel; thus it was named Oak of Weeping.)God appeared to Jacob again after he returned from Paddan Aram and blessed him.God said to him,“ Your name is Jacob, but your name will no longer be called Jacob; Israel will be your name.” So God named him Israel.Then God said to him,“ I am the sovereign God. Be fruitful and multiply! A nation– even a company of nations– will descend from you; kings will be among your descendants!The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you. To your descendants I will also give this land.”Then God went up from the place where he spoke with him.

Manoah said to his wife,“ We will certainly die, because we have seen a supernatural being!”

The priests could not carry out their duties because of the cloud; the LORD’s splendor filled God’s temple.

When I saw him I fell down at his feet as though I were dead, but he placed his right hand on me and said:“ Do not be afraid! I am the first and the last,

So the people went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus. They found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.

and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

When the disciples heard this, they were overwhelmed with fear and threw themselves down with their faces to the ground.
