乃惶懼曰、此處何其可畏、此非天主之殿、天之門乎、

就惧怕，说：“这地方何等可畏！这不是别的，乃是神的殿，也是天的门。”

乃懼、曰、此地何其可畏、非他、乃上帝之室、天之門也、○

乃悚然曰、此非上帝之殿、天之闕乎、敢弗寅畏。

He was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.”

Jacob was afraid. He said,“ How holy this place is! This must be the house of God. This is the gate of heaven.”

And he was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”

But he was also afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!”

我若遲延、使爾知當如何行事於天主之家、此家即永生天主之教會、真理之柱與基也、

倏主之使者立其前、主之榮光環照之、牧者大懼、

蓋時已至、天主之家先受鞫、若我儕先受鞫、則不信天主福音者、其終當何如、

我所立為柱之石、將為天主室、凡主所賜我者、必十輸其一獻於主、

又曰、我乃爾父之天主、亞伯拉罕之天主、以撒之天主、雅各之天主、摩西蔽面、不敢觀天主、

爾於天主前、勿造次啟口、勿心急出言、蓋天主在天、爾在地、故當寡言、

天主諭雅各曰、爾起、往伯特利居於彼、爾避爾兄以掃時、我顯現於爾、當在彼為我建祭臺、雅各命家人與從者云、當棄爾中所有異邦之神像、自潔更衣、我儕起、赴伯特利、我遭難時、天主允我禱、我行於路、天主祐我、今我欲在彼為天主建祭臺、遂以所有異邦之神像及其耳環付雅各、雅各藏之於示劍橡樹下、遂啟行前往、天主使四周城邑之民咸懼、不追雅各子、雅各及從者、至迦南之路斯、即伯特利、昔雅各避其兄以掃時、天主於彼顯現、故雅各建祭臺於彼、名其地曰伊勒伯特利、伊勒伯特利譯即在伯特利顯現之天主時、利百加乳媼底波拉死、葬於伯特利橡樹下、乃名其樹曰亞倫巴古、亞倫巴古譯即哭泣橡樹之義雅各自巴旦亞蘭歸後、天主復顯現、許之以福、天主諭之曰、爾素名稱雅各、今而後爾名不復稱雅各、乃稱以色列、遂稱其名為以色列、天主又諭之曰、我乃全能之天主、使爾生育眾多、爾後裔必成一族、以至群族、列王皆由爾出、我所賜亞伯拉罕及以撒之地、我將賜爾及爾後裔、天主由與言之所、離之上升、

瑪挪亞謂妻曰、我儕見神、必致死亡、

主之榮光充於天主之殿、祭司因雲不能侍立奉事焉、

我見之、仆於其足前如死、彼以右手按我曰、勿畏、我乃首先者、我乃末後者、

眾出欲觀所為、就耶穌、見魔所離之人、衣衣自若、坐於耶穌足前、遂懼、

且既有大祭司、理天主之家、

門徒聞之、面伏於地、懼甚、
