And he was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”

He was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.”

Jacob was afraid. He said,“ How holy this place is! This must be the house of God. This is the gate of heaven.”

But he was also afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!”

if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.

And he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. To draw near to listen is better than to offer the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they are doing evil.

God said to Jacob,“ Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there. So he called its name Allon-bacuth.God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Paddan-aram, and blessed him.And God said to him,“ Your name is Jacob; no longer shall your name be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name.” So he called his name Israel.And God said to him,“ I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply. And Manoah said to his wife,“ We shall surely die, for we have seen God.”

so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying,“ Fear not, I am the first and the last,

Then people went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.

and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified.
