He was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.”

Jacob was afraid. He said,“ How holy this place is! This must be the house of God. This is the gate of heaven.”

And he was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”

But he was also afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!”

He was afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! This is none other than the house of God. This is the gate of heaven.”

假如我來遲了，你也可以知道在神的家裡應該怎樣行。這家就是永活神的教會、真理的柱石和根基。

主的一位使者站在他們旁邊，主的榮光四面照著他們，他們就非常害怕。

因為審判從神的家開始，就在這時候了。如果先從我們起頭，那不信從神福音的人，結局將要怎樣呢？

我立作石柱的那塊石頭，必作神的殿；你賜給我的一切，我必把十分之一獻給你。”

又說：“我是你父親的神、亞伯拉罕的神、以撒的神、雅各的神。”摩西因為怕見神，就把自己的臉蒙住了。

你到神的殿，腳步要謹慎；近前聆聽，勝於愚昧人獻祭，因為他們不知道所作的是惡的。（本節在《馬索拉文本》為4:17）

神對雅各說：“起來，上伯特利去，住在那裡；你要在那裡築一座壇給神，就是從前你逃避你哥哥以掃的時候，向你顯現的那一位。”雅各就對他的家人，和所有與他在一起的人說：“你們要除去你們中間外族人的神像，你們要潔淨自己，更換你們的衣服。我們要起程，上伯特利去；我要在那裡給神築一座祭壇，他就是在我遭患難的時候應允我的呼求，在我所行的路上與我同行的那一位。”他們就把自己手中所有外族人的神像，和自己耳朵上的環子，都交給雅各；雅各把這些東西埋在示劍附近的橡樹底下。他們出發了，神使周圍的城市都非常懼怕，他們就不追趕雅各的兒子。於是雅各和與他在一起的人，到了迦南地的路斯，就是伯特利。他在那裡築了一座壇，就稱那地方為伊勒．伯特利，因為他逃避他哥哥的時候，神曾經在那裡向他顯現。利百加的乳母底波拉死了，葬在伯特利下邊的橡樹底下，所以給那棵樹起名叫亞倫．巴古。雅各從巴旦．亞蘭回來以後，神再次向他顯現，賜福給他。神對他說：“你的名原是雅各，但以後不要再叫雅各，以色列才是你的名。”這樣，神給他改名叫以色列。神對他說：“我是全能的神，你要繁衍增多，必有一國和眾國從你而生，又必有很多君王從你而出。我賜給亞伯拉罕和以撒的地，我要賜給你，我也要把這地賜給你的後裔。”神從與雅各談話的地方，離開他上升去了。

瑪挪亞對他的妻子說：“我們必定要死，因為我們看見了神。”

由於那雲彩的緣故，祭司都不能侍立供職，因為神的殿充滿了耶和華的榮光。

我看見了他，就仆倒在他腳前，像死了一樣。他用右手按著我，說：“不要怕！我是首先的，我是末後的，

眾人就出來看發生了甚麼事。來到耶穌那裡，看見鬼已經離開的那人，穿著衣服，神志清醒，坐在耶穌腳前，他們就害怕。

我們既然有一位偉大的祭司治理神的家，

門徒聽見了，就俯伏在地上，非常害怕。
