And behold, the Lord stood above it and said,“ I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring.

耶和华站在梯子上对雅各说：“我是耶和华，是你祖父亚伯拉罕的上帝，也是以撒的上帝。我要把你现在躺卧的地方赐给你和你的后代。

耶和华站在梯子上，说：“我是耶和华你祖父亚伯拉罕的神，也是以撒的神，我要把你现在躺着的这块地赐给你和你的后裔。

看哪，耶和华站在梯子上方，说：“我是耶和华，你父亲亚伯拉罕的神、以撒的神。我必把你现在躺卧之地，赐给你和你的后裔。

耶和華站在梯子以上，說：「我是耶和華－你祖亞伯拉罕的神，也是以撒的神；我要將你現在所躺臥之地賜給你和你的後裔。

看哪，耶和華站在梯子上面，說：「我是耶和華－你祖父亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝。你現在躺臥之地，我要將它賜給你和你的後裔。

看哪，永恆主站在他旁邊，說：『我是永恆主，你祖父亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝；你所躺臥的地我要賜給你和你的後裔。

看哪，耶和華站在梯子上方，說：「我是耶和華，你父親亞伯拉罕的神、以撒的神。我必把你現在躺臥之地，賜給你和你的後裔。

耶和華立其巔曰、我乃耶和華、爾祖亞伯拉罕、與以撒之上帝、爾所寢之地、悉以畀爾、爰及苗裔、

耶和華據其巔曰、我乃爾祖亞伯拉罕與以撒之上帝耶和華、爾所寢之地、悉以賚爾、爰及苗裔。

主立於梯上、或作立於其側曰、我乃耶和華、即爾祖亞伯拉罕之天主、與以撒之天主、爾所臥之地、悉以賜爾及爾後裔、

There above it stood the Lord, and he said:“ I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying.

The Lord stood beside the stairway. He said,“ I am the Lord. I am the God of your grandfather Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your children after you the land you are lying on.

At the top of the stairway stood the Lord, and he said,“ I am the Lord, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants.

The LORD was standing there beside him, saying,“ I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your offspring the land on which you are lying.

Then behold, the Lord was standing above it and said,“ I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and to your descendants.

And behold, the Lord stood above it and said:“ I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.

And, behold, Jehovah stood above it, and said, I am Jehovah, the God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

Yahweh was standing there beside him, saying,“ I am Yahweh, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your offspring the land that you are now sleeping on.

And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I[ am] the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

and the LORD stood at its top. He said,“ I am the LORD, the God of your grandfather Abraham and the God of your father Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the ground you are lying on.

Behold, Yahweh stood above it, and said,“ I am Yahweh, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac. I will give the land you lie on to you and to your offspring.

for all the land that you see I will give to you and to your offspring forever.

The land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you, and I will give the land to your offspring after you.”

Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said,“ To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built there an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said,“ I am the God of Abraham your father. Fear not, for I am with you and will bless you and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham’s sake.”

And Jacob said to Joseph,“ God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me,

‘ I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.”

God said to Jacob,“ Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there. Make an altar there to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”

But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.

If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been on my side, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God saw my affliction and the labor of my hands and rebuked you last night.”

“ My servant David shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes.They shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there forever, and David my servant shall be their prince forever.

And he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

Then he said,“ I am God, the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make you into a great nation.

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“ Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

And when her labor was at its hardest, the midwife said to her,“ Do not fear, for you have another son.”

Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and will bless you, for to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham your father.

And Jacob said,“ O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, O Lord who said to me,‘ Return to your country and to your kindred, that I may do you good,’

I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make you into nations, and kings shall come from you.And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.

God also said to Moses,“ Say this to the people of Israel:‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.Go and gather the elders of Israel together and say to them,‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying,“ I have observed you and what has been done to you in Egypt,

May he give the blessing of Abraham to you and to your offspring with you, that you may take possession of the land of your sojournings that God gave to Abraham!”

Yet he gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot’s length, but promised to give it to him as a possession and to his offspring after him, though he had no child.

And Jacob came to Luz( that is, Bethel), which is in the land of Canaan, he and all the people who were with him,and there he built an altar and called the place El-bethel, because there God had revealed himself to him when he fled from his brother.

So Jacob called the name of the place where God had spoken with him Bethel.

saying,“ To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.”
