To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.They profess that they know God, but by their deeds they deny him, being abominable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.

Yahweh, keep me from the hands of the wicked. Preserve me from the violent men who have determined to trip my feet.The proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Selah.

Let’s swallow them up alive like Sheol, and whole, like those who go down into the pit.We’ll find all valuable wealth. We’ll fill our houses with plunder.

“ Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath,and don’t give place to the devil.

The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.

For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, you knew my route. On the path in which I walk, they have hidden a snare for me.
