In his days Edom revolted against Judah’s authority, and made a king over themselves.So Joram went to Zair, and all his chariots with him. Benjamin shall possess Gilead.And the captives of this host of the children of Israel Shall possess the land of the Canaanites As far as Zarephath. The captives of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad Shall possess the cities of the South.Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion To judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be the LORD’s.

For again the Edomites had come, attacked Judah, and carried away captives.

For it happened, when David was in Edom, and Joab the commander of the army had gone up to bury the slain, after he had killed every male in Edom( because for six months Joab remained there with all Israel, until he had cut down every male in Edom),that Hadad fled to go to Egypt, he and certain Edomites of his father’s servants with him. Hadad was still a little child.

In his days Edom revolted against Judah’s authority, and made a king over themselves.

Then the messengers returned to Jacob, saying,“ We came to your brother Esau, and he also is coming to meet you, and four hundred men are with him.”

You have indeed defeated Edom, and your heart has lifted you up. Glory in that, and stay at home; for why should you meddle with trouble so that you fall— you and Judah with you?”

He killed ten thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt, and took Sela by war, and called its name Joktheel to this day.

“ Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
