Esau pleaded,“ But do you have only one blessing? Oh my father, bless me, too!” Then Esau broke down and wept.

以扫对他父亲说：“父啊，你只有一样可祝的福吗？我父啊，求你也为我祝福！”以扫就放声而哭。

以扫对他父亲说：“我父啊，你只有一个祝福吗？我父啊，求你也为我祝福！”以扫就放声而哭。

以扫对他父亲说：“我父啊，你只有一个祝福吗？我父啊，求你也为我祝福！”以扫就放声而哭。

以扫对父亲说：“父亲啊，你只有一个祝福吗？父亲啊，求你也为我祝福！”以扫又放声大哭。

以扫问他的父亲：“我父啊，你只有一个祝福吗？我父啊，求你也给我祝福。”以扫就放声大哭。

以扫对他父亲说：“我父啊，难道你只有这一个祝福吗？我父啊，求你也祝福我！”以扫就放声大哭。

以掃對他父親說：「父啊，你只有一樣可祝的福嗎？我父啊，求你也為我祝福！」以掃就放聲而哭。

以掃對他父親說：「我父啊，你只有一個祝福嗎？我父啊，求你也為我祝福！」以掃就放聲而哭。

以掃對父親說：「父親啊，你只有一個祝福嗎？父親啊，求你也為我祝福！」以掃又放聲大哭。

以掃問他的父親：“我父啊，你只有一個祝福嗎？我父啊，求你也給我祝福。”以掃就放聲大哭。

以掃對他父親說：『難道你只有一個福可祝麼，我父？也給我吧，給我祝福吧，我父。』以掃就放聲大哭。

以掃對他父親說：「我父啊，難道你只有這一個祝福嗎？我父啊，求你也祝福我！」以掃就放聲大哭。

以掃曰、父之祝嘏、豈惟一而已乎、父歟、請亦祝我、遂大聲號哭、

以掃曰、父之祝嘏、豈獨一而已也、請更祝我、遂大聲號泣、

以掃謂父曰、父之祝福豈獨一已乎、請更為我祝、遂放聲號哭、

Esau said to his father,“ Do you have only one blessing, my father? Bless me too, my father!” Then Esau wept aloud.

Esau said to his father,“ Have you but one blessing, my father? Bless me, even me also, O my father.” And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.

Esau said to his father,“ Do you have only one blessing, my father? Bless me too, my father!” And Esau wept loudly.

Esau said to his father,“ Do you have only one blessing, my father? Bless me, me as well, my father.” So Esau raised his voice and wept.

And Esau said to his father,“ Have you only one blessing, my father? Bless me— me also, O my father!” And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.

And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.

Esau said to his father,“ Do you only have one blessing, my father? Bless me too, my father!” And Esau wept loudly.

And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me,[ even] me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.

Esau said to his father,“ Do you have only that one blessing, my father? Bless me too!” Then Esau wept loudly.

Esau said to his father,“ Do you have just one blessing, my father? Bless me, even me also, my father.” Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.

You know that afterward, when he wanted his father’s blessing, he was rejected. It was too late for repentance, even though he begged with bitter tears.

When Esau heard his father’s words, he let out a loud and bitter cry.“ Oh my father, what about me? Bless me, too!” he begged.

Esau exclaimed,“ No wonder his name is Jacob, for now he has cheated me twice. First he took my rights as the firstborn, and now he has stolen my blessing. Oh, haven’t you saved even one blessing for me?”

These are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said as he told his sons good bye. He blessed each one with an appropriate message.

In a short time— just a little more than a year— you careless ones will suddenly begin to care. For your fruit crops will fail, and the harvest will never take place.Tremble, you women of ease; throw off your complacency. Strip off your pretty clothes, and put on burlap to show your grief.Beat your breasts in sorrow for your bountiful farms and your fruitful grapevines.

My servants will sing for joy, but you will cry in sorrow and despair.

“ I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention.You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered.So I will laugh when you are in trouble! I will mock you when disaster overtakes you—
