以扫说：“他名雅各，岂不是正对吗？因为他欺骗了我两次：他从前夺了我长子的名分，你看，他现在又夺了我的福分。”以扫又说：“你没有留下为我可祝的福吗？”

以扫说：“他名叫雅各，岂不是这样吗？他欺骗了我两次：他先前夺了我长子的名分，看哪，他现在又夺了我的福分。”以扫又说：“你没有留下给我的祝福吗？”

以扫说：“他名叫雅各，岂不是这样吗？他欺骗了我两次：他先前夺了我长子的名分，看哪，他现在又夺了我的福分。”以扫又说：“你没有留下给我的祝福吗？”

以扫说：“怪不得他叫雅各，他已经骗了我两次，先前把我长子的名分夺去，现在又夺去我的福分！”接着他对父亲说：“难道你没有留下别的祝福可以给我吗？”

以扫说：“他名叫雅各不是很对吗？因为他欺骗了我两次。从前他夺去我的长子名分，现在他又夺去我的祝福。”以扫又说：“你再没有祝福留给我吗？”

以扫说：“他的名字叫雅各不是名副其实吗？他两次都欺骗了我：他先夺取了我长子的名份，看哪，他现在又夺取了我的祝福！”以扫又说：“难道你没有留下什么祝福给我吗？”

以掃說：「他名雅各，豈不是正對嗎？因為他欺騙了我兩次：他從前奪了我長子的名分，你看，他現在又奪了我的福分。」以掃又說：「你沒有留下為我可祝的福嗎？」

以掃說：「怪不得他叫雅各，他已經騙了我兩次，先前把我長子的名分奪去，現在又奪去我的福分！」接著他對父親說：「難道你沒有留下別的祝福可以給我嗎？」

以掃說：“他名叫雅各不是很對嗎？因為他欺騙了我兩次。從前他奪去我的長子名分，現在他又奪去我的祝福。”以掃又說：“你再沒有祝福留給我嗎？”

以掃說：『是不是因為他名叫「欺騙」、他才欺騙了我這兩次呢？我的長子名分、他取了去；如今你看，他又把我應得的祝福取了去。』以掃又說：『難道你沒有給我保留個祝福麼？』

以掃說：「他的名字叫雅各不是名副其實嗎？他兩次都欺騙了我：他先奪取了我長子的名份，看哪，他現在又奪取了我的祝福！」以掃又說：「難道你沒有留下什麼祝福給我嗎？」

以掃曰、宜其名雅各、彼欺我者再、昔奪我長子之業、今又奪我之嘏耶、又曰、豈更無嘏、可為我祝乎、

曰、名之為雅各、雅各亦欺詐之義不亦宜乎、彼欺我者再、昔奪我冢子之名分、今奪我祝福、又曰、豈更無福可為我祝乎、

Esau said,“ Isn’t he rightly named Jacob? This is the second time he has taken advantage of me: He took my birthright, and now he’s taken my blessing!” Then he asked,“ Haven’t you reserved any blessing for me?”

Esau said,“ Isn’t Jacob just the right name for him? This is the second time he has taken advantage of me. First, he took my rights as the oldest son. And now he’s taken my blessing!” Then Esau asked,“ Haven’t you saved any blessing for me?”

Esau said,“ Is he not rightly named Jacob? For he has cheated me these two times. He took away my birthright, and behold, now he has taken away my blessing.” Then he said,“ Have you not reserved a blessing for me?”

Esau exclaimed,“ No wonder his name is Jacob, for now he has cheated me twice. First he took my rights as the firstborn, and now he has stolen my blessing. Oh, haven’t you saved even one blessing for me?”

So he said,“ Isn’t he rightly named Jacob? For he has cheated me twice now. He took my birthright, and look, now he has taken my blessing.” Then he asked,“ Haven’t you saved a blessing for me?”

Then Esau said,“ Is he not rightly named Jacob, for he has betrayed me these two times? He took away my birthright, and behold, now he has taken away my blessing.” And he said,“ Have you not reserved a blessing for me?”

And Esau said,“ Is he not rightly named Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright, and now look, he has taken away my blessing!” And he said,“ Have you not reserved a blessing for me?”

And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?

So he said,“ Isn’t he rightly named Jacob? For he has cheated me twice now. He took my birthright, and look, now he has taken my blessing.” Then he asked,“ Haven’t you saved a blessing for me?”

And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?

Esau exclaimed,“‘ Jacob’ is the right name for him! He has tripped me up two times! He took away my birthright, and now, look, he has taken away my blessing!” Then he asked,“ Have you not kept back a blessing for me?”

He said,“ Isn’t he rightly named Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright. See, now he has taken away my blessing.” He said,“ Haven’t you reserved a blessing for me?”

After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau’s heel; so he was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them. (niv)

When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him,“ Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” (niv)

Then the man said,“ Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.” (niv)

Jacob replied,“ First sell me your birthright.”“ Look, I am about to die,” Esau said.“ What good is the birthright to me?”But Jacob said,“ Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob.Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright. (niv)
