But Isaac said,“ Your brother was here, and he tricked me. He has taken away your blessing.”

以撒說：「你弟弟心懷詭計地前來，已經奪取了你的祝福。」

But he said,“ Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”

But Isaac said,“ Your brother came and tricked me. He took your blessing.”

But he said,“ Your brother came deceitfully, and he has taken away your blessing.”

But he replied,“ Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”

And he said,“ Your brother came deceitfully and has taken away your blessing.”

But he said,“ Your brother came with deceit and has taken away your blessing.”

And he said, Thy brother came with guile, and hath taken away thy blessing.

But he replied,“ Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”

And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.

But Isaac replied,“ Your brother came in here deceitfully and took away your blessing.”

He said,“ Your brother came with deceit, and has taken away your blessing.”

Never harm or cheat a fellow believer in this matter by violating his wife, for the Lord avenges all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you before.

Are we not all children of the same Father? Are we not all created by the same God? Then why do we betray each other, violating the covenant of our ancestors?

“ But,” someone might still argue,“ how can God condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more glory?”And some people even slander us by claiming that we say,“ The more we sin, the better it is!” Those who say such things deserve to be condemned.

Jacob replied,“ It’s Esau, your firstborn son. I’ve done as you told me. Here is the wild game. Now sit up and eat it so you can give me your blessing.”Isaac asked,“ How did you find it so quickly, my son?”“ The Lord your God put it in my path!” Jacob replied.Then Isaac said to Jacob,“ Come closer so I can touch you and make sure that you really are Esau.”So Jacob went closer to his father, and Isaac touched him.“ The voice is Jacob’s, but the hands are Esau’s,” Isaac said.But he did not recognize Jacob, because Jacob’s hands felt hairy just like Esau’s. So Isaac prepared to bless Jacob.

Therefore, summon all the prophets and worshipers of Baal, and call together all his priests. See to it that every one of them comes, for I am going to offer a great sacrifice to Baal. Anyone who fails to come will be put to death.” But Jehu’s cunning plan was to destroy all the worshipers of Baal.

“ Are you defending God with lies? Do you make your dishonest arguments for his sake?

We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
