But he replied,“ Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”

But he said,“ Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”

But Isaac said,“ Your brother came and tricked me. He took your blessing.”

But he said,“ Your brother came deceitfully, and he has taken away your blessing.”

But Isaac said,“ Your brother was here, and he tricked me. He has taken away your blessing.”

And he said,“ Your brother came deceitfully and has taken away your blessing.”

But he said,“ Your brother came with deceit and has taken away your blessing.”

And he said, Thy brother came with guile, and hath taken away thy blessing.

But he replied,“ Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”

And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.

But Isaac replied,“ Your brother came in here deceitfully and took away your blessing.”

He said,“ Your brother came with deceit, and has taken away your blessing.”

This means one must not transgress against and take advantage of a brother or sister in this manner, because the Lord is an avenger of all these offenses, as we also previously told and warned you.

Don’t all of us have one Father? Didn’t one God create us? Why then do we act treacherously against one another, profaning the covenant of our ancestors?

But if by my lie God’s truth abounds to his glory, why am I also still being judged as a sinner?And why not say, just as some people slanderously claim we say,“ Let us do what is evil so that good may come”? Their condemnation is deserved!

Jacob replied to his father,“ I am Esau, your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game so that you may bless me.”But Isaac said to his son,“ How did you ever find it so quickly, my son?” He replied,“ Because the LORD your God made it happen for me.”Then Isaac said to Jacob,“ Please come closer so I can touch you, my son. Are you really my son Esau or not?”So Jacob came closer to his father Isaac. When he touched him, he said,“ The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau.”He did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like those of his brother Esau; so he blessed him.

Now, therefore, summon to me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests. None must be missing, for I have a great sacrifice for Baal. Whoever is missing will not live.” However, Jehu was acting deceptively in order to destroy the servants of Baal.

Would you testify unjustly on God’s behalf or speak deceitfully for him?
