後來想要承受父所祝的福，竟被棄絕，雖然號哭切求，卻得不着門路使他父親的心意回轉。這是你們知道的。

所以必吃自結的果子，充滿自設的計謀。

我呼喚，你們不肯聽從；我伸手，無人理會；反輕棄我一切的勸戒，不肯受我的責備。你們遭災難，我就發笑；驚恐臨到你們，我必嗤笑。驚恐臨到你們，好像狂風；災難來到，如同暴風；急難痛苦臨到你們身上。那時，你們必呼求我，我卻不答應，懇切地尋找我，卻尋不見。

耶穌對眾人說：「你們要努力進窄門。我告訴你們，將來有許多人想要進去，卻是不能。及至家主起來關了門，你們站在外面叩門，說：『主啊，給我們開門！』他就回答說：『我不認識你們，不曉得你們是哪裏來的！』那時，你們要說：『我們在你面前吃過喝過，你也在我們的街上教訓過人。』他要說：『我告訴你們，我不曉得你們是哪裏來的。你們這一切作惡的人，離開我去吧！』你們要看見亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各，和眾先知都在神的國裏，你們卻被趕到外面，在那裏必要哀哭切齒了。

人的愚昧傾敗他的道；他的心也抱怨耶和華。

大衛和跟隨他的人就放聲大哭，直哭得沒有氣力。
