惧怕人的，必陷入网罗；倚靠耶和华的，必得安全。

曾经提到他的妻子撒拉说：“她是我的妹妹。”于是基拉耳王亚比米勒派人来把撒拉取了去。

请你说你是我的妹妹，使我因你的缘故可以平安无事，我的性命也可以因你的缘故得以保全。”

那少女容貌非常美丽，还是个处女，没有男人亲近过她。她下到水泉那里，打满了水瓶，又上来。

何况她也实在是我的妹妹；她原是我同父异母的妹妹，后来作了我的妻子。神叫我离开我父家，在外飘流的时候，我对她说：‘我们无论到什么地方去，你都要对人说：“他是我的哥哥。”这就是你待我的恩情了。’”

那些杀身体却不能杀灵魂的，不要怕他们；倒要怕那位能把灵魂和身体都投入地狱里的。

你们作丈夫的，要爱妻子，好像基督爱教会，为教会舍己，

不要彼此说谎，因为你们已经脱去了旧人和旧人的行为，

那人岂不是自己对我说：‘她是我的妹妹’吗？就是那女人自己也说：‘他是我的哥哥’。我作这事，是手洁心清的。”
