They answered,“ We saw clearly that the Lord was with you; so we said,‘ There ought to be a sworn agreement between us’— between us and you. Let us make a treaty with you

They said,“ We see plainly that the Lord has been with you. So we said, let there be a sworn pact between us, between you and us, and let us make a covenant with you,

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the LORD has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

They said,“ We have seen plainly that the Lord has been with you; so we said,‘ An oath must now be taken by us,’ that is, by you and us. So let us make a covenant with you,

But they said,“ We have certainly seen that the Lord is with you. So we said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and let us make a covenant with you,

And they said, We saw plainly that Jehovah was with thee: and we said, Let there now be an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee,

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the Lord has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us,[ even] betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;

They replied,“ We could plainly see that the LORD is with you. So we decided there should be a pact between us– between us and you. Allow us to make a treaty with you

They said,“ We saw plainly that Yahweh was with you. We said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, even between us and you, and let’s make a covenant with you,

又叫米斯巴，因為拉班說：「當我們彼此遠離了對方的視線之後，願耶和華在你我中間守望。如果你苦待我的女兒們，或者在我的女兒之外，又娶了妻子；就算沒有人與我們各人在一起，看吧，神就是你我之間的見證。」拉班對雅各說：「看哪，這石堆！看哪，這柱子！是我在你我之間放置的；這石堆就是見證，這柱子就是見證：我必不越過這石堆去害你，你也絕不可越過這石堆和這柱子來害我。願亞伯拉罕的神和拿鶴的神，就是他們父親的神，在你我之間做判斷。」雅各就指著他父親以撒所敬畏的那一位起誓。

我要你指著耶和華——天和地的神起誓，不可從我所住的迦南，為我的兒子娶他們的女兒為妻；

那麼，對這些事我們要怎麼說呢？神如果支持我們，誰還能反對我們呢？

人本來指著比自己更大的起誓；對他們，所起的誓就是了結一切爭執的確據；

而你們必被稱為耶和華的祭司，被稱為我們神的事奉者。你們必享用列國的財富，並因享有他們的榮耀而自我誇耀。

只要你到了我的親族那裡，我讓你起的誓就與你無關；如果他們不把女子交給你，我讓你起的誓也與你無干了。』

他們的後裔必在列國中為人所知，他們的子孫在萬民中也必如此；所有看見他們的都會承認：他們是耶和華所賜福的後裔。

那些曾苦待你的，他們的子孫都必來向你屈身；所有曾藐視你的，都要在你的腳前下拜；他們要稱你為「耶和華的城」、「以色列聖者的錫安」。

自從波提乏指派約瑟管理家和所擁有的一切，耶和華就因約瑟的緣故祝福了那埃及人的家；無論在家裡或在田間，他所擁有的一切都蒙耶和華的祝福。

你們行事為人不要愛錢財，要以現有的為滿足，因為神自己說過：「我絕不撇下你，也絕不離棄你。」

他心中隱祕的事就會顯露出來。這樣，他就會把臉伏在地上敬拜神，承認說：「神真的是在你們中間！」

因此那地方被稱為比爾-謝巴，因為他們兩人在那裡起了誓。這樣他們在比爾-謝巴立了約，然後亞比米勒和他軍隊的首領非革就起身，回到非利士人之地。
