看哪！你們卻歡喜快樂，殺牛宰羊，吃肉喝酒，說：「讓我們吃喝吧！因為明天我們就要死了。」

於是我稱讚享樂，因為在日光之下，沒有什麼好過吃喝享樂——在日光之下，在神賜給人一生的日子裡，在他的勞苦中，這些必伴隨他。

耶和華對我說：「你要把那銀子丟給陶匠。」那銀子就是他們給我估定的高價。我就拿了那三十塊銀子，在耶和華的殿中丟給了陶匠。

『看吧，你們這些好譏誚的人哪！驚奇吧，滅亡吧！因為在你們的時代裡，我要做一件事，就算有人向你們詳細說明，你們也絕不會相信。』」

又免得有淫亂的，或像以掃那樣不敬神的。以掃為了一點食物，就把自己長子的名份賣了；你們知道，後來他想繼承祝福，卻被棄絕了，雖然他流著淚水尋求，還是找不到悔改的機會。

他們厭棄那美好之地，不相信他的話語；

說：「如果我把他交給你們，你們願意給我什麼？」他們就約定給他三十個銀錢。

其實我過去再三地告訴你們，而現在又流著眼淚告訴你們：有許多人的行事為人，是基督十字架的仇敵。他們的結局就是滅亡；他們的神就是自己的私慾；他們的榮耀在自己的羞恥之中；他們所思想的都是地上的事。

我在以弗所與野獸搏鬥，如果按人的意思來說，對我有什麼好處呢？如果死人不會復活，就「讓我們吃吃喝喝吧，因為明天我們就要死了。」

「但那些人不理，就走開了，有的到自己的田裡去，有的做自己的生意去。
