看哪！人還是歡喜快樂，宰牛殺羊，吃肉喝酒，說：“我們吃喝吧！因為明天我們就要死了。”

於是我稱頌快樂，因為人在日光之下最好是吃喝快樂。這是人在日光之下，神賜給他一生的年日裡，從自己勞碌中所得的享受。

那時，耶和華對我說：“你要把銀子丟給陶匠。”那銀子就是他們認為我應得的高價。我就拿了那三十塊銀子，在耶和華的殿裡丟給陶匠了。

‘傲慢的人哪！你們要看、要驚奇、要滅亡，因為在你們的日子，我要作一件事，就算有人告訴你們，你們總是不信。’”

又免得有人成為淫亂的和貪戀世俗的，好像以掃一樣，為了一點點食物，竟把自己長子的名分出賣了。你們知道，後來以掃想要承受祝福，卻被拒絕了；他雖然帶著眼淚尋求，還是沒有反悔的餘地。

他們又輕視那美地，不信他的應許。

“如果我把他交給你們，你們願意給我甚麼呢？”他們就給了他三十塊銀子。

我常常告訴你們，現在又流著淚說，有許多人行事為人，是基督十字架的仇敵，他們的結局是滅亡，他們的神是自己的肚腹，他們以自己的羞辱為榮耀，所思想的都是地上的事。

我在以弗所和野獸搏鬥，如果照著人的意思來看，那對我有甚麼益處呢？如果死人不會復活，“我們就吃吃喝喝吧，因為我們明天就要死了。”

但那些人卻不理會就走了；有的去耕田，有的去作買賣，
