以扫说：“看哪，我都快死了，这长子的名份对我还有什么用呢？”

以掃說：「我將要死，這長子的名分於我有甚麼益處呢？」

以掃說：「看哪，我快要死了，這長子的名分對我有甚麼用呢？」

以掃說：「看哪，我快要死了，這長子的名分對我有甚麼用呢？」

以掃說：「我都快餓死了，長子的名分對我有什麼用呢？」

以掃說：“我快要死了，這長子名分對我有甚麼益處呢？”

以掃說：『我快要死了，長子名分於我有甚麼益處？』

以掃說：「看哪，我都快死了，這長子的名份對我還有什麼用呢？」

以掃曰、我將死矣、長子之業、於我奚裨、

以掃曰、我且死矣、即為冢子、亦何益之有。

以掃曰、我將死矣、此長子之名分、於我何益、

“ Look, I am about to die,” Esau said.“ What good is the birthright to me?”

“ Look, I’m dying of hunger,” Esau said.“ What good are those rights to me?”

Esau said,“ I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?”

“ Look, I’m dying of starvation!” said Esau.“ What good is my birthright to me now?”

“ Look,” said Esau,“ I’m about to die, so what good is a birthright to me?”

Esau said,“ Look, I am about to die; so of what use then is the birthright to me?”

And Esau said,“ Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me?”

And Esau said, Behold, I am about to die: and what profit shall the birthright do to me?

“ Look,” said Esau,“ I’m about to die, so what good is a birthright to me?”

And Esau said, Behold, I[ am] at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

“ Look,” said Esau,“ I’m about to die! What use is the birthright to me?”

Esau said,“ Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

In all cases of illegal possession of an ox, a donkey, a sheep, a garment, or any other lost property about which somebody says,‘ This is mine,’ both parties are to bring their cases before the judges. The one whom the judges declare guilty must pay back double to the other. (niv)

For he says,‘ There is no profit in trying to please God.’ (niv)

“ You have said,‘ It is futile to serve God. What do we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? (niv)

Who is the Almighty, that we should serve him? What would we gain by praying to him?’ (niv)

They said to God,‘ Leave us alone! What can the Almighty do to us?’ (niv)
