神藉着夜间的一个梦来到亚兰人拉班那里，对他说：“你要小心，不可与雅各说好说歹。”

又带着他积聚的一切财物和他所有的牲畜，就是他在巴旦-亚兰所积聚、拥有的牲畜，往迦南地，到他父亲以撒那里。

雅各欺瞒亚兰人拉班，没有告诉他自己要逃走。

于是以撒打发雅各前往巴旦-亚兰，到亚兰人彼土利的儿子拉班那里。拉班是雅各和以扫的母亲莉白加的哥哥。以扫看见以撒祝福了雅各，又打发他去巴旦-亚兰那里娶妻；并见以撒祝福雅各时，吩咐他说：“你不要从迦南的女子中娶妻”；

自雅各从巴旦-亚兰回来后，神再次向他显现，祝福了他。

还有，在先知以利沙的时代，在以色列有许多麻风病人；可是除了叙利亚人奈曼以外，没有一个人被洁净。”
